What was your inspiration for making the game?

We have a lot of experience with the RTS genre, we love strategy games and board games and felt we could create a compelling game experience on the iPhone.

How is your game unique from others out there?

Fieldrunners has an open maze design that allows players to user their creativity to build mazes. We also feature a distinct and colorful style which is fun and appealing.

How long did it take you to make your game?

It took us 6 months for the initial release and we have been adding significant content to the game for over a year with new game modes, features, and fun content.

What was the hardest part about making it?

Taking a game from a hard-core genre and making it accessible to a casual audience.

Any other unique or interesting facts about your game we should know about?

Fieldrunners became a top 20 seller on the iPhone, even though it first shipped without any sound or music and only one level!

How did you pick the name of your game?  Did you have any others in mind?

We created a giant list of names and then voted to narrow it down to the one that felt right.
